HR's Guide to Preparing for Your Annual Performance Review

Detailed guide to perfecting your annual performance review -- including writing performance review questions, preparing your managers and employees for employee evaluations, and increasing performance review participation rates.

This ebook provides a detailed guide to perfecting your annual performance review -- including writing performance review questions, preparing your managers and employees for employee evaluations, and increasing performance review participation rates. Also has multiple performance review scripts and suggestions for how to write self-reviews, peer reviews, manager reviews, and reviews for direct reports, and prepare for the conversation itself when you finally sit down for the performance appraisal.

Performance reviews may seem straightforward, but people in human resources know very well they aren't. No matter what your performance management system is, whether you're doing a traditional performance review or trying to reinvent it, there's so many little details that need to be accounted for during an annual review, and so many things that can go wrong: people can submit incomplete reviews, forget to do check-ins, miss key elements about team members' or an employee's performance, be too shy about giving helpful negative feedback, feel lost about performance ratings, not touch upon career development, not do them properly, take forever to do them, not understand the evaluation process, and then leave with a pile of files that you have to sift through -- extra-carefully, to make sure everyone gets the information only they need.

You're here because you know it doesn't have to be that way. You care about making your performance review process as painless and effective as possible -- for your team and your company.

This isn't about completely changing your annual review process. Instead, it's about making sure you've thought of everything.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
